Southbound Glacier Route cruises are seven nights in length and sail from either Whittier or Seward to Vancouver, BC. Glacier Routes cruises are sometimes referred to as “Gulf of Alaska” cruises or “Voyage of the Glaciers” cruises for their additional glacier viewing opportunities. They include the sights and ports of the Inside Passage, but also additional glacier viewing destinations like College Fjord and the rugged coastline along the Gulf of Alaska. Ports of call may include cites such as Juneau, Ketchikan, Haines, Icy Strait Point, Sitka, and Skagway. Generally, there are two or three days at sea including popular scenic cruising destinations such as Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord or Prince William Sound.
Another great thing about this itinerary is the chance to explore the land side of Alaska before embarking in Seward or Whittier. Many cruisers begin their Alaska vacation by spending four to seven days exploring popular land side destinations such as Seward, Anchorage, Denali Naional Park and Fairbanks
